Support for New Muslims

Embracing Islam comes with enormous benefits,
but also has its
challenges

The struggles you will encounter as a new Muslim can be overwhelming. The MCC and its partners are here to help you overcome these challenges.

Whether you’ve recently reverted to Islam or are reviving your faith, the struggles that new Muslims face in North America are very real and can be overwhelming.  You may be dealing with social and family isolation and will certainly have lots of questions, questions that many others are also wondering about.  Our goal is to help support you through your journey with practical advice, 1-on-1 counselling from a range of resources – a peer, a mentor, or an Imam – as well as access to great support groups who meet regularly and organize social events.

Connect with an Imam

The MCC has a deep network of new Muslims, local professionals and religious scholars that can help guide you through your new Muslim journey. You can visit Akram Jomaa, SW Masjid, Islamic Centre NW, or any of our centres to connect with an Imam.
