Islamic Funeral Services

The MCC owns and operates Calgary’s only Muslim Cemetery with over 67 acres of beautiful rolling hills just West of Calgary. Currently, the cemetery has utilized just over 5 acres of land, leaving over 60 acres for future use.
Funeral Services are now provided at two locations:
- Akram Jomaa Islamic Center – 2612 37 Avenue NE, Calgary
- SW Masjid – 5615 14 Avenue SW, Calgary
Funeral Services
The MCC will help facilitate the entire process for the funeral arrangements, to help ease your pain in this time of loss.
In order to facilitate a smooth and assisted process for the funeral arrangements, a doctor’s report, or appropriate report from relevant authorities must be provided. In some cases, a postmortem autopsy may be conducted first by the relevant authorities.

Cemetery Information
The Calgary Muslim Cemetery is located East of Cochrane, Calgary Census Division. Spread over an area of 67 acres, this land was purchased in 1983. As of today, over 90% of the land is still available for future use by the MCC.
